System Requirements for Live Video Meetings

Joining a live video meeting (group chat or interview) requires only a modern web browser and a reliable Internet connection. No additional software or browser extension is required.

Note that these requirements are only for live video meetings and are therefore more stringent than the general system requirements.

We recommend always completing a System Check prior to entering a Live Video Meeting.

Minimum Bandwidth

To transmit and receive live video, we recommend a download and upload speed of at least  1.5 Mbps. This minimum increases to 4 Mbps if screen sharing features will be in use. An ideal connection speed would be 8 Mbps or higher. You can test your internet connection with SpeedTest.net or Fast.com

We strongly recommend stopping downloads, file sharing, and others video & music streaming services when live video. Don't forget to pause your Dropbox or Google Drive sync or any other bandwidth-consuming apps during your meeting.

We recommend checking your firewall settings. Live video works with WebRTC, which might require some network configuration within larger companies with firewalls. If IP addresses must be whitelisted, please contact us for a list of IP addresses.
